The hope of Ukraine aviation industry

Ukraine Government has announced that they are going to establish a new state-owned airline! The main idea is that the new airline will not only solve the tourism issues. National security questions should be solved as well! Now the state government declares that Ukraine is too reliant on private airlines in cases like repatriation or cargo flights. Especially when we talk about the COVID-19 supplies. The good news is that the airline planning to operate locally manufactured An-148 aircraft (like the one in the pictures), so it will be a good opportunity for spotters to fill in another item in the bucket list. From another perspective, the Ukraine Government has also announced that Antonov aircraft, mostly will be used for domestic, and short-range international routes. For the rest probably Western-made aircraft will be chosen.
