Gulfstream III is a business jet produced by Gulfstream Aerospace. It has been introduced in the 1980s. 202 units were built. It can comfortably bring up to 19 passengers to a distance near 6000km. Rolls-Royce Spey RB.163 Mk 511-8 turbofan engines have been used to power the aircraft. It is a low-bypass turbofan engine, designed in 60-ties, and the sound of it speaks for itself! A few days ago one of these beasts has visited Vilnius! It was N163PA of Phoenix Air. The company represents itself as a worldwide passenger and cargo charter operator but it is a public secret that the company often operates US military flights with secret documents of other military goods loaded inside! The interesting fact that in 2014 these Gulfstreams were unofficially named "Ebola planes" because during the Ebola breakdown these planes have carried Ebola patients in special capsules inside!
